Everyday challenges in practice
Client information is spread across several places
Chat threads, paper intake forms, spreadsheets and local files. Finding what was agreed sessions ago takes too long.
Session documentation takes time outside paid hours
Write-up happens outside session time, and time pressure reduces what gets recorded.
Patterns are hard to review across fragmented records
Reviewing what changed, recurred or was tried requires a continuous record.

Review and save notes ↗Subjective
Client reports two weeks of difficulty falling asleep, often waking in the early hours and unable to get back to sleep. Visibly stressed when discussing progress on a new project; mood generally low, but still keeping up with daily work as planned.
Objective
Speaks clearly and reviews the week in chronological order. Speech slows when talking about sleep, with two longer pauses; returns to the topic unprompted and does not avoid it.
Assessment
Sleep changes coincide in time with recent work stress, which the client is partly aware of. The theme of high self-expectations raised last session appears again.
Plan
Next session, continue exploring how sleep patterns relate to stressful situations; try logging bedtime and pre-sleep activities for a week.
CounselorLast time you said it was hard to fall back asleep after waking at night. How was this week?
ClientThe first few days were okay. From Wednesday I was up after four again, lying there thinking about work
CounselorWhen you wake up, what's the first thing on your mind?
ClientThe new project's schedule. I keep feeling I should be faster
CounselorThis "I should be faster" is something we've talked about before
ClientYes, it seems it's always been there, just more obvious lately

Process notes Call with her mother: irritation and guilt at once
Subjective
Irritation after the call, then guilt, almost at the same time
Objective
Paused at "no right to be annoyed," then went on describing it
Assessment
Tension between self-demands and real feelings needs more work
Plan
Next time, keep exploring related situations and bodily reactions

Assistive by design
Drafts and summaries for professional review; AI does not diagnose or decide
No automatic escalation
Risk cues are reminders for the counsellor; the system never notifies a third party
De-identified model calls
Names replaced with codes; birth dates, phone numbers and addresses are not sent
Encryption and access control
TLS 1.2 or above throughout; salted bcrypt password hashes; access scoped by organisation and role
Audit trails
Sensitive and irreversible actions are logged in the same transaction as the change
Export and deletion
Export your data any time; account deletion on request

About the team
Common questions
What is Ziji and who is it for?
Ziji (咨记) is a practice management system for counsellors and counselling teams. It covers scheduling, client records, session documentation, transcription, informed consent and audit trails. It is a professional tool for practitioners, not a service for the general public.
Is Ziji available in English?
Not yet. The product interface, registration flow, pricing and legal documents are currently in Simplified Chinese. This page exists so that English-speaking visitors can understand the product and reach us. If an English interface matters to you, tell us — it helps us prioritise.
How does Ziji use AI?
AI drafts session notes from recordings or transcripts, and can answer questions using context drawn from a client's record. Every output is a draft for the counsellor to review, edit or discard. The system does not diagnose, does not act on its own, and does not notify anyone on the basis of AI output. Conversations are saved by default so you can return to them; a conversation can be set to incognito, in which case nothing is stored.
How is data protected?
Transport is encrypted with HTTPS / TLS 1.2 or above, passwords and bearer tokens are hashed rather than stored in readable form, access is scoped by organisation and role, and sensitive actions are audit-logged. Counselling content is treated as sensitive personal information under PIPL. Storage locations, retention periods and cross-border transfer are set out in the Privacy Policy (Chinese).
Does Ziji provide counselling or medical services?
No. Ziji is software used by qualified professionals to manage their own practice. It does not provide consultation, diagnosis or treatment to the public.
